01
System Inspection
We walk the house, count every supply and return register, and open the air handler cabinet to check the blower wheel and coil. A duct camera goes down the main trunk to document conditions before we touch anything. You get a written scope and a flat price before work starts, usually within 20 minutes of arrival.
02
Negative Pressure Setup
A truck-mounted negative air machine connects to the main trunk, and we seal every register with foam block-offs. This puts the entire duct system under negative pressure so nothing we loosen escapes into your living space. Setup takes 15 to 25 minutes depending on how many registers your home has.
03
Mechanical Agitation
Technicians feed a rotary brush and air whip through each branch line, working from the farthest register back toward the trunk. Compressed air nozzles reach into corners the brush cannot touch. For flexible duct runs common in newer Midvale builds, we use lower-pressure agitation to avoid collapsing the inner liner.
04
HEPA Vacuum and Sanitizing
The negative air machine pulls everything dislodged into a sealed HEPA filtration unit. On request, we apply an EPA-registered sanitizer to the trunk lines and returns. This step adds about 20 minutes and is popular with households dealing with pet hair duct buildup or past pest activity.
05
Camera Verification
Before we pack up, the duct camera goes back down the main trunk and at least two branch lines. We show you the footage on a tablet so you can compare it to the before shots. Register covers go back on, the system runs for 10 minutes, and we confirm airflow at each vent before leaving.
